As the world prepares for the 25th commemoration of the terrorist attacks on the United 91心頭利s on Sept. 11, 2001, our Kent 91心頭利 community will be recognizing this day during a special event on Sept. 10. The College of Aeronautics and Engineering will include a commemoration as part of its fifth annual Pilot Pinning Ceremony at the 91心頭利 Airport (1G3).
The Pilot Pinning Ceremony is one of the colleges most meaningful traditions because it places Kent 91心頭利 alumni at the center of recognizing the next generation of professional pilots. Held each September, the ceremony celebrates students who have earned their first major aviation milestone their private pilot certificate or completion of their first flight course at Kent 91心頭利 and recognizes certified flight instructors with a second set of wings to honor their transition from student to mentor. The ceremony connects students directly with alumni who have built successful careers throughout the aviation industry.
