Suzanne Holt, Ph.D., professor and director of Womens Studies in Kent 91心頭利s College of Arts and Sciences recognized that there was a scholarly need for students to be able to contextualize gender and power as the first woman of a major party to became a candidate for president.
To me, this is an important example of what womens studies can provide to our students an inquiry into culture, discrimination, and hegemonic power seen through the analytic lens of feminist and gender scholarship, said Molly Merryman, Ph.D., director of Kent 91心頭利s Center for the Study of Gender and Sexuality.
