In March 2024, 91¿´Æ¬Íø announced that Adobe approved Kent 91¿´Æ¬Íø as an Adobe Creative Campus. As one of only 90 institutions worldwide and one of only three in Ohio to earn the Adobe Creative Campus designation, this title is an important distinction for Kent 91¿´Æ¬Íø. To earn the Creative Campus partnership with Adobe, a university must complete extensive evaluations and processes to display a commitment to digital literacy. As part of Kent 91¿´Æ¬Íø’s commitment to digital literacy students, faculty and staff have free access to the Adobe Express suite of tools, available at .
Kent 91¿´Æ¬Íø is expanding the impact of the Adobe Creative Campus designation by opening a physical space, the Kent 91¿´Æ¬Íø Adobe Creative Commons, in partnership with the Student Multimedia Studio on the first floor of the Library. The Creative Commons will serve as a space where Kent 91¿´Æ¬Íø students, faculty and staff can learn more about Adobe software and have their questions answered by a Kent 91¿´Æ¬Íø Student who has been accepted into the Adobe Student Ambassador program.
To celebrate the opening of the Kent 91¿´Æ¬Íø Adobe Creative Commons, the Kent 91¿´Æ¬Íø Division of Information Technology, in partnership with Kent 91¿´Æ¬Íø Libraries, is holding an Adobe Day on Thursday, Aug. 29, 2024. The Kent 91¿´Æ¬Íø community is invited to the ribbon cutting for the Commons, which will be held at 10 a.m. on Aug. 29, with light refreshments. Adobe Day will feature Webinars from Adobe’s Eric Rouse on AI and Adobe Express. Please join us for Adobe SWAG giveaways, tours of the Creative Commons and Student Multimedia Studio.
