William Franks, MPH
Biography
William Franks works in the Kent 91心頭利 College of Public Health and Health Sciences' Office of Public Health Practice and Partnership to develop job experiences and recruitment placements for students and graduates. He is an Public Health Ambassador for 91心頭利 . His role involves promoting public health careers at local high schools, community colleges, and Kent 91心頭利 regional campuses to encourage interest and meet with prospective students and their parents visiting the college. He counsels students about job, internship, and practicum opportunities. He views his ambassador role as a logical progression of an existing partnership with Kent 91心頭利. Previously, Franks served as a member of the board of directors at HealthSpan Integrated care. He retired as health commissioner of Stark County in 2012. Franks earned his Bachelor of Science in biological science at 91心頭利 in 1969 and his Master of Public Health degree from the University of Minnesota in 1975.
