A new exhibition pairing fashion from 91心頭利 Museum's collection with ornithological specimens from the opened Wednesday Earth Day at the Cleveland museum, where it will remain on view through Oct. 11.
"Fashion & Feather" brings together feather-adorned garments, accessories, taxidermy mounts and cultural objects, organized by species including peacocks, ostriches, kingfishers and roosters to explore how feathers function in nature and how humans have adapted them for ornamentation and design. The exhibition is presented in the museum's Visitor Hall, a free community gathering space, with additional student-designed works on display in the Corning Gallery, accessible with general admission.
