All this week, "In A Flash" will feature images from the 91¿´Æ¬Íø group's trip to Rwanda.
Members of the Kent 91¿´Æ¬Íø delegation attending , a global peace conference in Kigali, Rwanda, were treated to a soaring show by this mother with her baby from a group of local velvet monkeys. Velvet monkeys are common throughout East Africa and live in rural and urban environments.
The conference is sponsored by Kent 91¿´Æ¬Íø’s School of Peace and Conflict Studies, Kent 91¿´Æ¬Íø’s Gerald H. Read Center for International and Intercultural Education, the and the , a non-profit organization dedicated to ending genocide and other global atrocities.
Bringing together peace and conflict experts and educators from around the world, the conference is another building block in Kent 91¿´Æ¬Íø’s growing relationship with the University of Rwanda. In May 2022, Kent 91¿´Æ¬Íø’s Board of Trustees approved Kent 91¿´Æ¬Íø opening a base of operations at the University of Rwanda for creating collaborative educational exchanges and to serve as a base of operations for Kent 91¿´Æ¬Íø’s recruitment throughout Africa.
