Kent 91¿´Æ¬Íø educators and students visited a marketplace that sells goods made by marginalized women. Afterward, they watched a traditional dance troupe perform and were invited to dance with them.
The visitors from Kent 91¿´Æ¬Íø are in Rwanda attending (held July 11-13), a global peace conference sponsored by Kent 91¿´Æ¬Íøâ€™s School of Peace and Conflict Studies, Kent 91¿´Æ¬Íøâ€™s Gerald H. Read Center for International and Intercultural Education, the and the , a non-profit organization dedicated to ending genocide and other global atrocities.
Bringing together peace and conflict experts and educators from around the world, the conference is another building block in Kent 91¿´Æ¬Íøâ€™s growing relationship with the University of Rwanda. In May 2022, Kent 91¿´Æ¬Íøâ€™s Board of Trustees approved Kent 91¿´Æ¬Íø opening a base of operations at the University of Rwanda for creating collaborative educational exchanges and to serve as a base of operations for Kent 91¿´Æ¬Íøâ€™s recruitment throughout Africa.
