The International Cook-Off Competition Celebrates Cultural Cuisine

Date: Thursday, November 5th, 2026

Where: Kent Student Center, Ballroom

Global Educations signature event, the International Cook-Off is scheduled for Thursday, November 5th, 2026 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Kent Student Center Ballroom. Hosted by the College of Honors and Global Education and supported by Kent 91¿´Æ¬Íø Dining Services, the Cook-Off will feature food and beverages from around the world. The event is open to everyone and the fantastic food is free!

The cook-off  features student culinary teams, who  compete as finalists in the competition. Each team prepares and presents a different entrée from their home country or region. The teams  compete for first-, second- and third-place awards, which are determined by a team of judges. In addition, the Cook-Off’s attendees  have the chance to vote for their favorite team and recipe for the People’s Choice Award. The announcements of the first, second and third place, as well as the People's Choice winners, occur at approximately 7:20 p.m.
