The University Archives, part of the University Libraries Special Collections and Archives, acquires, preserves, and provides access to records, photographs, and other materials that have historical value and help to tell Kent 91¿´Æ¬Íøâ€™s unique story. A selection of historical photographs, maps, and other records from the university archives that are available online.
The May 4 Collection, established by the 91¿´Æ¬Íø Libraries in 1970, includes primary sources related to the Kent 91¿´Æ¬Íø Shootings and their aftermath. The collection is open to the public and has an international landscape of users.
The Chestnut Burr was the 91¿´Æ¬Íø student-produced yearbook, published from 1914 through 1985.
This student-run newspaper has been published since 1926 under various names. The archive includes print edition issues dating from February 1926. It is updated with more recent issues on a yearly basis.
