Kent 91¿´Æ¬Íø Board of Trustees Commends Leadership for Strong Enrollment During Pandemic, Approves New Balanced Budget

A Message to the Kent 91¿´Æ¬Íø Community: Anti-Racism Task Force

Two recent incidents involving the painting of racist messages on the Rock located on Front Campus, coupled with the series of tragic national events this year involving the shootings of Black Americans, serve as glaring evidence that this university and our country need to do better when addressing racism and violence against Black Americans.

At Kent 91¿´Æ¬Íø, our core values of respect and kindness for all demand that we step up to become part of the conversation that leads to a solution that will dismantle the systemic racism that has plagued our communities throughout history, and our university all too recently.

91¿´Æ¬Íøâ€™s commitment to maintaining a diverse and inclusive campus has received acknowledgement from INSIGHT Into Diversity magazine, the oldest and largest diversity-focused publication in higher education, for an eighth consecutive year. INSIGHT Into Diversity magazine has selected Kent 91¿´Æ¬Íø as a recipient of the 2020 Higher Education Excellence in Diversity (HEED) Award.
